Social Networking & you...

As we continue through the internet age...I have come to realize that having my pictures plastered all over the place just isn't worth it...I've been hit on numerous times when my profiles only say that I am networking(as in for business reasons-NOT pleasure) . I am also here to make friends-but I am NOT looking to hook up with you...I know life can be lonely-but maybe you are just looking too hard for love-Do you love yourself?-That is the first step or you will never be truly happy in a relationship. It is also important to just be "YOURSELF" I know (as a friend) that is all I ever ask of you. There are too many people out there pretending to be something they are not just to get ahead in life...you do know that you don't really have to do that-don't you?...you may think that you are alone-but you are not...take a closer look at yourself-how do you relate to people? & go from there...from where I come from we are not a preppy,jock, head,nerd,whatever...we are all equal-not one better than the other as life is not perfect-we are not perfect-only GOD... I've also heard of other people's photos being taken & used as their own...now that is just totally wrong...you know who you are! You should be ashamed of yourself! It would be nice if these social sites could come up with some way to deter that from happening to people...I believe in time they might just be able to do that...there are so many things needing to be done to improve these kind of sites...you are all welcome to comment-I'd like to hear what you have to say on this matter...

UPDATE 7/17/08:
You may have noticed I've added my picture to my profiles again.It is all about putting the right picture on your profile. The way you look in your profile picture may say a lot about you as some people read a book by it's cover. But when they are wrong about what they see-that becomes a problem.There still may be a chance that I get hit on but I believe the picture I've chosen depicts what I am about-it's NOT "cutesy"-it's says I am here on these sites for business-NOT pleasure...we adults are not the only ones that have to watch out for predators on these types of sites-it is the next generation-whether it be your own children or the children of the world. We need to educate people on internet safety for we may never be able to be rid of the predators-but at least we'll be educated...I am geared towards internet safety-won't you join me?!...
